Announcing the November Book

The November book, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, was selected by Reader’s Ink member Carol.

This is our first technically young adult book, though it’s of the hefty (not bubblegum)YA type. I’m quite thrilled by this, as I love the YA genre.

The premise? Set in Germany during World War II, a young girl steals books to suit various needs. Oh, and Death apparently narrates the story. So, I am intrigued to say the least, and I look forward to reading this one.

Discussion begins December 1. In the meantime, Reader’s Ink is reading Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier. Discussion for that one begins November 1.
