Apple Picking

Helping Mummy pick some apples.
With her #1 guy, DADDY! We have a serious dearth of family photos, so we managed to take one at the orchard. Charlotte picking out her pumpkin.
Two weeks ago, prior to The Disease, we took a jolly family outing to a nearby (VERY nearby—oh, the joys of living in the country) orchard to go apple-picking, pumpkin-picking-out, and squash-buying. One year ago, I blabbed about how I couldn’t wait to do all the fun autumn stuff with my darling (then, a fetus) girl. And let me tell you—it was even more fun than I could have imagined! Sure, a year ago, I didn’t know I’d have to carefully work the farm visit in between naps, or remember to bring an extra bottle, or think about how I’d keep my hands free to pick apples while holding Charlotte (thank you, Ergo Carrier!), but getting to watch Charlotte take in autumn splendor for the very first time was just . . . well, it was just FUN.
