So, how about I just let the photos below (with their absurdly too long captions) tell y'all how our Christmas was?
Charlotte's Uncle Tyler and Auntie Christine gave her a UW jersey. Here, they watched a Bowl game together. Charlotte was SO bummed when they went home to Seattle. |
On December 23, the Seahawks played the Niners. In a house FULL of Hawks fans, Chris scrounged up whatever support he could muster: a toddler. It didn't work. Seahawks WON, 42-13, and Charlotte promptly switched her allegiance back to the Seahawks. |
Christmas Eve. Now that we have a piano, we were able to reinstate Christmas Eve tradition in which I play something Noel-ish prior to gift opening. Note that my too-long fingernails are responsible for my awful hand position in this photo! I DO know better. Really. |
Opening her first few gifts on Christmas Eve. |
Then she put on her new jammies from Nana, prior to the Great Gift Sorting. |
Helping Uncle Tyler sort gifts. This was always, always Tyler's job when we were kids. |
Every time Charlotte received something clothing-related, she felt compelled to put it on, right then and there. |
Like a monkey hat, from Auntie Cheryl. |
And we got just enough snow for Charlotte to put on some of her new treasures and get pulled by Daddy on her sled for this jolly shot. Merry Christmas! |
